#6 Trying to do it all. Early on Ryan and I learned an important lesson - we aren't good at everything.

The point? Do what you are good at and hire someone to do what they are good at. What do I mean? Sure, you can take good pictures of your products, but will they look professional? Sure, you can do your taxes, but are you 100% sure you understand tax law as it applies to your business? Are you 100% sure you want to take 5 days out of your busy schedule to do them? Sure, you can put play around with cutting and pasting graphics onto a business card, but will they make you look like a professional?

Surrounding your business with others who are good at their businesses can be one of the smartest decisions a small business owner can make.
